WILLIAM BALDELLI, 79, a resident of 820 Sewickley Street, Ellwood City for 56 years until recently, when he resided at Golden Hills Nursing Home in New Castle, died on Friday afternoon, February 26 2010 at Jameson Hospital in New Castle, surrounded by his loving family..
He was born in Ellwood City on December 28 1930 to the late Joseph and Adele Notari Baldelli.
Presbyterian by faith, he graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City.
He was retired in 1982 from Babcock & Wilcox Co., East Works in Beaver Falls, where he was a tube reducer and later a foreman. Later, he drove bus for George Ku Bus Lines, and after that worked as a consultant for the Area Agency on Aging.
Bill loved to garden, play the guitar, walk, and read at the Ellwood City Public Library.
He is survived by his wife, Maxine E. Moore Baldelli. They were married for over 60 years.
He is also survived by three sons: William J. (and Elizabeth) Baldelli; Mark C. (and Lorri) Baldelli; and John A. Baldelli (and Janene Locke), all of Ellwood City.
Five grandchildren also survive: Michael, Kylee, Brett, Nico, and J.T. Baldelli; and two great grandchildren: Paige and Aiden Baldelli.
He is also survived by two sisters and a brother: Lunda Minett in Ohio; Lena Shannon of Ellwood City, and David Baldelli of Ft. Worth TX.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded by a daughter, Linda K. Baldelli Newton, who died January 2 2001.
Private visitation and services are planned at the TURNER FUNERAL HOME OF ELLWOOD CITY, Sixth Street at Park Avenue, Ellwood City.
