Paul E. Latshaw

Paul Eugene Latshaw, 92, of Line Avenue, Ellwood City, died Thursday morning, January 21, 2010 surrounded by his loving family in the Ellwood City Hospital following a brief illness.

He was born April 10, 1917 in Butler to the late Paul L. Latshaw and the late Ruth I. Marburger Latshaw.

He graduated from Lincoln High School in January 1936 and married Audrey Huff Latshaw, who survives, on September 18, 1942.

A lifelong resident of Ellwood City, Paul retired from the Ellwood City Forge after 36 years of service. He was a member of Calvin Presbyterian Church, where he served as a Deacon, and a senior member of Del Mar Golf Course. In the summer and fall, he could frequently be seen searching for lost golf balls on the course. He enjoyed planting and caring for his flowers and vegetable gardens.

He was preceded in death by his son, Paul D. Latshaw, who died January 13, 2007.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Audrey Huff Latshaw; a son, Curtis (and Joann) Latshaw, of Monaca; a daughter, Karen (and Tom) Cambio, of Ellport; and a daughter-in-law, Noreen Latshaw, of Big Beaver.

Eight grandchildren: Paul A. (and Robin) Latshaw, Curtis (and Lisa) Latshaw, Renee (and Doug) Heisterkamp, Brad Latshaw, Erin Marketich, Beth (and Ed) Skibinski, Tommy Cambio, and Abby Latshaw; and ten great grandchildren: Marissa and Zachary Heisterkamp, Destiny and Dylan Cambio, Hannah Latshaw, Curtis and Gracie Latshaw, Joseph and Jacob Skibinski, and Tyler Latshaw, also survive.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. on Saturday, January 23, 2010 in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue.

Services will be conducted at 2 P.M. on Sunday, January 24, 2010 at TURNER’S with Rev. James Latta, Paul’s pastor, officiating.

Interment will follow in Sylvania Hills Memorial Park, Rochester.

Memorial contributions may be made, in Paul’s name, to the donor’s favorite charity.
