EllaMae Fleischer, 78, of Fairview Drive, Ellwood City (North Sewickley Twp.) passed away on Sunday morning, September 6 2009 at the Ellwood City Hospital after a brief illness.
She was born in Monaca PA on December 5 1930 to the late Daniel and Ella Holy Romisher.
She graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City, and was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she had served for many years as church secretary. She also was active in the Ellwood City Hospital Auxiliary.
EllaMae was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her husband Karl H. Fleischer, who died on October 10 1996, and by one daughter, Elaine M. Fleischer, who died March 7 2005.
She is survived by three daughters and two sons-in-law: Suzanne Fleischer, and Carol (and Thomas) Hobson, all of San Diego CA; and Christine (and David) Loccisano of Ellwood City.
Four grandchildren also survive: Jeremy (and Jolene) Twombly-Wiser; Evan Hobson; and Wade and Sarah Loccisano; as well as three great grandchildren: Madeline and Isaac Twombly-Wiser; and Cierra Madden.
Two brothers and two sisters also survive: Daniel Romisher of Ellettsville, IN; Albert Romisher of Chesterfield, VA; Marian Lee Henn of Martinez, CA; and Danciel Colver of Indianapolis IN. Several nieces and nephews also survive and special friend, Laurie Paldino of Apache Junction AZ.
She was preceded by two sisters: Mary Sue Herbert and Danella Carpenter.
Friends are invited for viewing and to pay their respects as she joins her Heavenly family on Thursday, September 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the TURNER FUNERAL HOME OF ELLWOOD CITY, Sixth Street at Park Avenue.
A celebration of EllaMae’s life service will be conducted by her pastor, the Rev. Peggy Suhr-Barkley on Friday, September 11 at 11:00 A.M. at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Spring Avenue, Ellwood City.
Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery.
