Norman D. French

Norman D. French, 70, of Castlewood, went to be with the Lord surrounded by his family on Friday evening, November 22, 2013 at his residence following a lengthy illness.

He was born in Ellwood City on March 13, 1943 to the late Clair French and the late Mary Phillippi French. He graduated from Lincoln High School and was a member of Keys to the Kingdom Church in New Castle. He married his wife of 47 years, Sandy Minteer French, on June 26, 1965, who survives. He worked at B&W for 19 years and later as a truck driver for Keystone Lawrence.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene and Harold French.

He is survived, in addition to his wife, Sandy French, by his son, Randy French, at home, and two brothers and three sisters: Carl French of Beaver Falls, Tom (and Sue) French of Ellwood City, Winnie Martin of Canton, OH, Leona (and Keith) Walker of Chippewa, and Devona French (and Joe McFadden) of Slippery Rock. He is also survived by Emily and Joseph Esposito, who were like his grandchildren, and his beloved golden retriever, Lucky.

Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. on Monday, November 25, 2013 in the TURNER FUNERAL HOME of Ellwood City, Sixth Street at Park Avenue.

Services will be conducted at 11 A.M. on Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at TURNER’S with Rev. Karl Moore, his pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in Harmony Baptist Cemetery in Castlewood.
