Sandra French, 79 of New Castle passed away on Friday, November 28, 2025, at her home. She was the daughter of the late Everett L. and Betty (Stoner) Minteer and she was born July 16,1946 in New Castle.
She is survived by her son; Randy French of New Castle, Emily Esposito and Joseph Esposito who were like her grandchildren, her siblings; David “Butch” Minteer and his wife Laney of Conesus, NY, Joyce Esposito and her husband Robert of New Castle, Richard Minteer of New Castle, Frank Minteer and his wife Janet of New Castle, Debra Clouse and her husband Jeff of New Castle, Everett Minteer and his partner Rick Learn of Austintown, along with 11 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
She was a 1965 graduate of Laurel High School. She met and married the love of her life, Norman French on June 26, 1965. She and Norman had one son; Randy. Sandra loved to play card games, especially 500, she and Norman enjoyed southern gospel concerts and more than anything spending time with their family. Sandra was a loving wife, mother, meemaw, and sister.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Norman French, three brothers; Lloyd “Punk” Minteer, Ronald Minteer, and and infant brother William Minteer.
Friends may call on the family on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Turner-Hyde Funeral & Cremation Services in Ellwood with a Funeral Service immediately following at 7:00PM with Pastor Matthew Bupp, Officiating.
Interment will be in Harmony Baptist Cemetery in New Castle.
