Randolph "Randy" J. Watenpool, 63, of Gibsonia passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the Brighton Health and Rehab Center in Beaver. He was the son of the late Clyde and Dorothy (Loskoch) Watenpool and was born May 18, 1962, in Pittsburgh.
Randy is survived by his daughter; Katie Watenpool of Esplen, PA his grandchildren; Cathyana Capp and Raegan Capp and one brother; Rick Watenpool and his wife Amy of Gibsonia, and two nephews; Cory Watenpool and Richard Watenpool.
He was a 1980 graduate of Hampton High School. He also attended Rosedale Tech in Pittsburgh where he received his automotive technician license. He met the love of his life, Cathy, in 1985. They had one daughter; Katie. He loved working on cars, miniature trains, and miniature cars. He loved drag racing and for a time he promoted innovative car lifts and tire rotation machines at Lernerville and other speedways in the region. He would be considered a true "Car Guy" He became a truck driver in 2001 and that was his career until his retirement. He was a loving father and son.
He was preceded in death by his wife; Cathy Watenpool who passed away in 2007.
Friends may call on the family on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 5:00PM-7:00PM at Turner-Hyde Funeral Home located in Ellwood City. Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at 11:00am, at Allegheny County Memorial Park located 1600 Duncan Ave in McCandless Twp, PA.
Interment will be in Allegheny County Memorial Park in Allison Park.
