John C. Wilson, 89 of Ellwood City passed away at his home on November 14, 2025, surrounded by his family. He was the son of the late Harry and Annabelle (Campbell) and was born September 19, 1936, in Pittsburgh.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years; Edna (Watson) Wilson of Portersville, his three children Chuck Wilson in Ellwood City, Jim Wilson of Philadelphia, Beverly Wilson of Zelienople, and one granddaughter; Ashley Fleeger along with multiple nephews and nieces.
John was a graduate of Zelienople High School. He enlisted in the US Army in May 1954 and he was stationed in Japan and was a paratrooper. Upon his honorable discharge, he met the love of his life Edna Watson. They were married 67 years. John loved to work in his yard and kept it beautiful. He also had a camp along a stream where he loved fishing. He was an operator of a BP gas station in Zelienople for many years. He was also an avid gardener and he inherited those skills from his father. He was always there for his family and friends as a neighbor, mechanic, and a friend.
He was preceded in death by his brother; Harry Wilson, and two sisters; Ruth Loadman and Millie Simcoe.
Per John’s wishes, there will be no public services.
