Dolores J. Zupancic, 86, of New Brighton passed away and into the arms of her Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Providence Health and Rehabilitation Center in Beaver Falls. She was the daughter of the late Adolph and Irene (Pellegrino) Tomaino and she was born June 29, 1938, in New Brighton.
Dolores is survived by her son; David Cercone and his wife Kellie of Big Beaver Borough, her granddaughter; Kassidy Cercone of Pittsburgh, a step-grandaughter; Stephanie Feola, her sister; Patricia Love of Carrick, PA, and one nephew; Terry Marlin of Carrick, PA
Dolores was a 1957 graduate of New Brighton High School. She married Raymond Romeo Cercone in 1959 and by 1960 she was blessed with her only son; David Cercone. She began to sing while in high school. She became well known and traveled traveled and toured around the northeast in 1964. Her traveling and singing name was Dee Coni and she sang the Rhythm and Blues. She was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan as well as Notre Dame and the Boston Celtics. She was a professional bartender and tended bar at various Beaver County bars. She last tended bar and retired from Chip’s Bar, in Monaca. She attended and was baptized at the New Brighton Christian Assembly Church and began attending with her son, Dave in 2015. Dolores was a loving daughter, mother, and grandmother and friend to so many.
She is preceded in death by her mother; Irene Tomaino in 2012, her first husband; Raymond Romeo Cercone, her second husband; Ronald Zupancic along with many cousins, relatives and a host of friends.
Per Dolores's wishes, there are no public services.
