Ann Vignovich Staymates Lemke, 92, of Ellwood City passed away peacefully on January 31, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Nikola and Melicia (Evolivich) Vignovich and was born July 30, 1928 in Wayne Twp. Ann is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She will be profoundly missed by many; including the following family members whom she so dearly loved and cherished: Paula Ford of South Beaver Township; Wendy Davis of New Galilee; Kathy Davis Dyke of Chillicothe OH; Kelly Davis of Ashville OH; Stacy Lemke Lawson from Courtland OH, and Sonia Brezniak Thorpe of Tewksbury NJ. A graduate of Lincoln High School, Ann was a lifetime Ellwood City resident and retired with 30 years of service from Aetna Standard. Never one to sit still for very long, Ann very quickly returned to the work force as a long-time hostess at Guiseppe's Restaurant as well as Yolanda's. However, what she found most fulfilling in her "retirement" was the employment with Kenneth C. Turner Funeral Home. She soon became very close with the entire family there, and they enjoyed many Christmas Eve's together. Ann was many things to many people. She was a woman strong in nature, one who was generous, caring, stylish, witty, and loved to cook. Always one to think of other's needs, she was known for delivering food - especially her amazing wedding soup - to anyone who was ill or just in need of some comfort. Ann was greatly civic minded and she truly enjoyed being a part of her community. She was a volunteer at the Ellwood City hospital, was a member of the Eastern Star, and the Ellwood City Lionesses. She showed her leadership skills as a past president of both the Ellwood City Municipal Women's Club and Ellwood City Gardner's Guild. Ann brought her sassy sense of style and humor to both the Ellwood City Red Hat Society and the "Tuesday Morning Golf League". Ann was preceded in death by her first husband, Bud Staymates and her second husband, the love of her life, Donald A. Lemke whom she lost in May of 2020. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Vignovich Cernus and 5 brothers, Ray Vignovich, Nick Vignovich, Sam Vignovich, Mike Vignovich and her very talented and most beloved brother Martin Vignovich. Additionally, a step-grandson, Kurt Lemke. Final arrangements will be private. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery. For those wishing to memorialize Ann, donations may be made in her name to the Beaver County Humane Society. Arrangements entrusted to the TURNER FUNERAL HOME located 6th and Park in Ellwood City.
